• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.

Responsibilities

• Support the head coach in conducting the athletic program and school sports.
• Coach individual participants in skills for excellence in the sport.
• Assist the head coach with pre-season, in-season, and postseason duties.
• Provide leadership and motivation to promote positive efforts by participants.
• Plan and schedule regular practice programs with the head coach.
• Develop athletes for progression to varsity level and supervise student-athletes.
