Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess CT Coaching Certificate (or eligibility) and First Aid/CPR/AED training.
• Must have High School Diploma.
• Two years coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sport rules, regulations, strategies and techniques.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Assesses players’ skills and assigns team positions as required.
• Observes players during practice and games to identify improvements.
• Determines game strategies based on team capabilities.
• Monitors academic performance to ensure eligibility.
• Maintains equipment, supplies and uniforms.
• Conferences with parents/guardians regarding athletic performance.
• Promotes good public relations and represents the team to media and booster clubs.
• Participates in special activities and events related to the athletic program.
