Job summary

Stevenson University in Owings Mills, MD, is seeking an Assistant Coach for Men’s & Women’s Beach Volleyball. You will assist in all aspects of coaching, recruit student-athletes, monitor academics, coordinate practices, and support team travel and events.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, NCAA/Division III familiarity, and a valid driver’s license. Evening/weekend hours and flexible scheduling are expected in a dynamic campus athletics program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus collegiate level competition and/or coaching experience with a commitment to Division III philosophy and NCAA experience.
• Valid driver license with good driving record: must be insurable.
• Ability to recruit, monitor student-athlete academics, coordinate practices, travel, and promote events within athletics and Stevenson University.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of competitive NCAA Women’s Beach Volleyball and Men’s Club Beach Volleyball programs.
• Work with head coach and paid/volunteer assistants.
• Develop coaching strategies and teaching methods to improve student-athletes’ skills and teamwork and analyze performance.
• Help implement and maintain a quality recruiting program for Stevenson University.
• Travel with teams and work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
