Job summary

Cleary University seeks an Assistant Baseball Coach to support daily operations of the baseball program. You will assist the Head Coach with team management, training, recruitment, and academic oversight, while upholding NAIA athletics standards.

The role involves planning practices, aiding in game plans, recruiting student-athletes, monitoring academic progress, and coordinating travel and equipment. A professional, mentor-like presence is expected both on and off the field.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience at the collegiate, club, or high school level preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and travel.
• CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be cleared to drive university vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting practices, workouts, and competitions.
• Support the Head Coach in implementing game plans and performance improvement.
• Aid in recruitment of prospective student-athletes who meet athletic standards.
• Monitor and promote student-athlete academic success with available resources.
• Coordinate team travel, logistics, and equipment management.
• Represent Cleary Athletics professionally on and off the field.
• Engage in fundraising, community outreach, and athletic promotions.
• Ensure compliance with NAIA, WHAC, and Cleary rules.
• Serve as a positive mentor modeling integrity and leadership.
• Perform other duties assigned by Athletic Administration.
