Parowan High School is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to support the head coach with practices, game strategy, and developing student athletes for competition.

Responsibilities include organizing practice time, instructing players on rules, techniques, and safety, and upholding school and district policies during all activities.

This position remains open until filled and offers an opportunity to contribute to the community and the school’s athletic program.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing player's skills and assigns team positions.
• Develops regular practice schedules and organizes time for individual and team development.
• Coaches players on rules, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Observes players during competition and practice to guide improvements.
• Assists with determining game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards and proper supervision of athletes.
• Follows procedures for athlete injuries.
• Follows state, regional, and district athletic regulations.
• Models sportsmanlike conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
• Performs equipment, supply, and uniform care and requisitioning.
• Participates in banquets, award nights, and assemblies.
• Distributes and maintains eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and insurance records.
• Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
