Job summary

Parowan High School is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach. This position will remain open until filled.

The Assistant Coach assists the head coach with coaching responsibilities, including conducting practices, instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition, and motivating student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport. This on-site role involves supervising players and coordinating practice plans.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting head coach and running practices.
• Ability to instruct players on rules and techniques of the sport.
• Ability to motivate student athletes and manage a safe, respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with coaching responsibilities including conducting practices and teaching game strategies.
• Assess players' skills and assist in assigning team positions.
• Develop regular practice schedules for individual and team development.
• Instruct players on rules, equipment, and techniques of baseball.
• Observe players during practice and games to identify improvement needs.
• Assist with determining game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Maintain pupil behavior standards and supervise athletes at all times.
• Follow procedures for athlete injuries and comply with regulations.
