Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Assists the bakery manager with overseeing daily operations by ensuring policies and procedures regarding merchandising, sanitation, and training are followed. Inspects bakery products to ensure availability and quality are maintained to promote optimal sales opportunities.
Consistently work within company 5S efficiency standards to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers upon fulfilling their requests. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards. Assist with bakery operations, including preparation, baking, merchandising, and final presentation of bakery products. Run the department in the absence of the manager. Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, outstanding service, and sanitary conditions. Maintain an adequate presentation with a proper variety of products to meet customer needs. Adhere to all sanitation regulations and keep a clean workstation. Fulfill all customer special orders. Assist in training and developing bakery associates to meet corporate standards. Follow all safety policies and train associates accordingly. Support the bakery manager in maintaining inventory levels in freezers, coolers, back rooms, and supplies, including Deco Pac products. Learn financial aspects of the bakery, including paperwork, weekly shrink, transfer sales, and budgets. Control shrink by following related policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to company policies.
Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve results and objectives.
Exposure to hot environments: constant 5-8 hours.
Exposure to cold environments: occasional 1-3 hours.
Sitting: occasional 1-3 hours.
Twisting: frequent 3-5 hours.
Pivoting: constant 5-8 hours.
Pushing/Pulling: occasional 1-3 hours up to 75 lbs and up to 2400 lbs with equipment.
Lifting: frequent 3-5 hours up to 50 lbs and occasional 1-3 hours up to 100 lbs.
Phone, pallet jack, calculator, dock plates, stackers, case cutters, marking guns, cleaning products, bakery equipment/utensils, bread molder, slicers, compactor/bailer, donut fryer, computer applications, Dolphin.
