Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Assists the bakery manager with overseeing daily operations by ensuring adherence to policies and procedures regarding merchandising, sanitation, and training. Inspects bakery products to maintain quality and availability, promoting optimal sales opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently work within company 5S efficiency standards to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service. Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them upon fulfilling their requests. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards. Assist with bakery operations, including preparation, baking, merchandising, and presentation of bakery products. Manage the department in the absence of the manager. Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, excellent service, and sanitary conditions. Maintain proper product variety to meet customer needs. Comply with all sanitation regulations and keep the work station clean. Fulfill all customer special orders. Assist in training and developing bakery associates to meet performance standards. Follow all safety policies and train associates accordingly. Support the bakery manager in maintaining inventory levels in freezers, coolers, back rooms, and supplies. Learn financial aspects of the bakery, including paperwork, weekly shrink, transfer sales, and budgets, and control shrink accordingly. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve results and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exposure to hot environments: constant 5-8 hours.

Exposure to cold environments: occasional 1-3 hours.

Sitting: occasional 1-3 hours.

Twisting: frequent 3-5 hours.

Pivoting: constant 5-8 hours.

Pushing/Pulling: occasional 1-3 hours up to 75 lbs and up to 2400 lbs with equipment.

Lifting: frequent 3-5 hours up to 50 lbs, occasional 1-3 hours up to 100 lbs.

EQUIPMENT USED

Phone, pallet jack, calculator, dock plates, stackers, case cutters, marking guns, cleaning products, bakery equipment/utensils, bread molder, slicers, compactor/bailer, donut fryer, computer applications, Dolphin.
