Job summary

Mollie Stone’s Markets in San Francisco is seeking a Full Time Assistant Bakery Manager at our Tower (Twin Peaks) location. This role partners with the Bakery Manager to drive sales, quality, and customer service while overseeing production, merchandising, and staff development.

Responsibilities include supervising in the Bakery in the manager's absence, training and mentoring team members, managing inventory and pricing to meet margin goals, and maintaining clean, safe environments in line with

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bakery management (MUST). At least 1–2 years.
• Analytical ability and proficiency in math to calculate margins, monitor profitability and manage inventory.
• Passion for Scratch Baking and strong knowledge of bakery products.
• Clear and effective communicator with strong teamwork abilities.
• Ability to mentor others and maintain high performance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve the highest standards in bakery operations.
• In the manager's absence, supervise, schedule and assign duties to Team Members.
• Provide customers with exceptional service and support.
• Assist in interviewing, training, development and coaching of Team Members.
• Foster a positive work environment and high team morale.
• Manage inventory and pricing to achieve margins and labor targets.
• Follow procedures on health, sanitation and safe work practices; ensure equipment is sanitized.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and properly.
