Mollie Stone’s Markets in San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager for our Grand Central location. The ideal candidate is customer service driven and willing to handle a variety of tasks daily.

You will support the Produce manager, train staff, manage inventory and pricing, and ensure product freshness and proper rotation. This role requires leadership, reliability, and a passion for quality foods.

Qualifications

• Experience in a produce department is required.
• Strong customer service skills in a retail/grocery setting.
• Ability to motivate and train staff; team-centered attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Produce manager with all departmental functions.
• Assist in interviewing, training, and development for Produce staff.
• Maintain positive work environment and department procedures.
• Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to meet margins and labor targets.
• Oversee product sampling and ensure freshness; monitor rotation of all fresh product.
