Responsibilities

The Assistant Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for providing excellent customer satisfaction through managing Bakery Clerks and assisting the Bakery Manager with daily bakery operations.

• Assist in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality, and supervise the Bakery team.
• Implement merchandise rotation and build displays.
• Monitor incoming deliveries for damages.
• Ensure high-quality bakery products and excellent customer service.
• Handle store deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and ensure team adherence.

Qualifications

To qualify as an Assistant Bakery Manager, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years of retail grocery experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude to interact effectively with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Be capable of answering phones and handling special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment safely and accurately.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, and lift/move items up to 40 lbs. as needed.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
