The Bakery Manager is responsible for directing and supervising all functions and activities of Bakery Department personnel to achieve the sales and profit goals established for the department. They ensure that work shifts contribute to the store's financial interests.

Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as company policies, regarding Bakery operations, safety, and sanitation.

Responsible for achieving financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization, while minimizing shrink and supply expenses.

Take customer orders accurately for cakes and other specialty bakery products.

Fulfill weekly orders according to store policy to maintain adequate supply levels.

Adhere to company policies through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of products.

Maintain and enforce a clean work environment to ensure sanitary conditions.

Complete all necessary paperwork related to the Bakery Department.

Manage selection, training, development, and scheduling of Bakery associates.

Perform tasks as assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Store Location: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Physical abilities include regular vision, occasional walking, lifting, carrying loads up to 50 lbs, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling; frequent standing, sitting, pushing/pulling loads up to 100 lbs, tasting, smelling; constant handling, feeling, talking, and hearing
• Ability to direct subordinates, promote sales through courteous customer service, and operate equipment safely (mixer, proofer, slicer, ovens, pallet jack, etc.)

Experience
