Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Assistant Bread Baker for part-time hours, with afternoons/evenings required and Saturdays off. You will work on a dynamic team crafting artisan breads and pastries from honest ingredients.

The ideal candidate enjoys food quality, customer service, and community. Prior baking experience is preferred but training may be provided; must be 18+ and able to stand and lift as needed.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience is preferred; training may be available.
• Attentiveness to compliance with food handler, sanitation rules.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus.
• Requires standing and walking for long periods; accommodation if needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old for the role.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to produce breads and pastries with consistent quality.
• Work in a fast-paced bakery setting during afternoon/evening shifts.
• Support the Bread Baking team and keep workstation clean and organized.

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe must possess:

• Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies all weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• The ability to work through change & be able to be flexible all while keeping a close eye on what's cooking!
• The schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe need to be qualified with:

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person!)
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus!
