Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe in Draper, UT is seeking a part-time Assistant Bread Baker. You will join a dynamic team producing artisan breads, pastries, and seasonal items with honest ingredients.

You will work afternoons and evenings, with Sunday shifts and potential overtime during holidays. Training is available to the right candidate who loves quality food and great service.

Qualifications

• Experience in baking or pastry production, with ability to follow recipes and scale doughs.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards in a kitchen environment.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in measuring, mixing, and baking processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bread Baker in producing a variety of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads.
• Stand and move continuously during shifts; lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking stations and equipment.
• Work afternoons/evenings; Sunday shifts may be required; adapt to seasonal schedules.

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe must possess:

• Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies all weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• The ability to work through change & be able to be flexible all while keeping a close eye on what's cooking!
• The schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe need to be qualified with:

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person!)
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus!
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
