Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Assistant Bread Baker for part-time hours with afternoon/evening availability. The role includes joining a dynamic team producing artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads from honest ingredients.

Qualified candidates may have large-scale baking experience, strong adherence to food safety standards, and a passion for quality. Training is available for the right candidate. Must be 18+ and able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience (preferred but not required; training available)
• Adherence to local, state & federal food handler/sanitation regulations
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus
• Must stand/walk continuously during shifts; flexibility to accommodate busy periods

Responsibilities

• Assist in bread baking and production for daily menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking stations
• Ensure quality and consistency of finished breads and pastries

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe must possess:

• Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies all weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• The ability to work through change & be able to be flexible all while keeping a close eye on what's cooking!
• The schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe need to be qualified with:
