Description of Work

Perform a variety of duties involved in the administration, evaluation, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of student-athletes within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. The focus of responsibilities will be with the Nebraska Spirit Squad including practice and event coverage, and any required travel. Working with the teams will involve some non-traditional hours, nights, weekends, some holidays. Adherence to all NCAA , conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Professional degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a CAATE accredited program).
  • BOC / NATA certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required. Emergency response certification ( CPR , basic life support) necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience as full-time certified athletic trainer within NCAA or professional athletics preferred.
  • Previous experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student-athletes in a Division 1 program preferred.
