Independence Community College (ICC) is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to recognize, manage, and treat athletic injuries, while maintaining rehabilitation and prevention protocols. You will work with the Head Athletic Trainer and physicians to ensure exams meet guidelines and may recruit/supervise students or teach in the sports medicine program.

The role carries full-time, 12-month duties with competitive salary and benefits, located in Southeast Kansas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Athletic Trainer Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Experience related to the scope of work preferred.
• Collaborative work ethic aligned with ICC mission.
• Valid US driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsabilités

• Document all services in writing and place in permanent records.
• Record details of athlete health status and program plans.
• Manage and assist with medical insurance claims and records.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate results with care.
• Assess athlete level of functioning and progress.
• Organize, maintain, and supervise training equipment.
• Recruit and supervise student athletic trainers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
