Job summary

University of Texas at Dallas seeks an experienced Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide education, assessment, treatment, and prevention services for athletic injuries to student-athletes and staff. You will assist in day-to-day management of the sports medicine operation and ensure high-quality athletic training services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field, Texas AT licensure or eligibility, and BOC certification, with CPR/AED and First Aid credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field required.
• Must possess a current Texas Athletic Training license or be eligible to obtain it.
• Must be certified in First-aid, CPR and AED.
• SWATA membership may be applicable.
• BOC License required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with policies and regulations of NCAA, conference, and professional athletic training standards.
• Represent the University professionally at practices, competitions, and events.
• Assist with daily operations and maintenance of athletic training facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate comprehensive athletic training services including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehab, and coverage.
• Deliver education and counseling to student-athletes regarding injuries and health.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document appropriately.
• Coordinate referrals with physicians and healthcare professionals as needed.
• Communicate health and participation status with stakeholders.
• Educate staff on First Aid, CPR, AED usage, and Emergency Plans.
