An established institution is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer/Lecturer to provide medical care for collegiate athletes and teach undergraduate courses. Description: Position provides medical care for assigned teams within the Department of Athletics. Position also teaches 4 credit hours of undergraduate courses as assigned by the Department of Kinesiology Chair.
Sporting assignments: Football
Provides daily medical care for assigned teams to include all team activities and associated travel, including nights and weekends; maintain appropriate electronic medical records; supervise graduate assistant and intern athletic trainers; carry out administrative and other duties (inventory, budgeting, drug testing, insurance, etc.) as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine or Head Football Athletic Trainer.
UNC Pembroke pays for NC Licensure, NATA membership, annual BOC dues, and $500 CEU allotment. Additionally, annual athletic training staff gear order valued up to $250, in addition to any gear from assigned teams.
Qualifications: Applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or a field associated with Kinesiology – prior experience teaching in a higher education setting preferred, but not mandatory. 1-3 years of athletic training experience working with collegiate athletes preferred, but not mandatory. Must have current BOC Certification and possess or be eligible to obtain NC License by start date.
