Responsibilities

• Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
• Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes, incorporating nutrition plans and schedules tailored to individual needs.
• Design and implement training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
• Evaluate and manage injuries, maintain medical documentation, and liaise between physicians and athletes.
• Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on schedules, regulations, and guidelines, in coordination with medical staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Licensed Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.

Additional Preferences

• Current certification from NATA-BOC
• Preferred certifications: CSCS, CES, PES, FMS, EMT
• Minimum 2 years collegiate experience
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
• Strong organizational, computer, and confidentiality skills
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Background in athletic training education, Kinesiology, or related field
