Job Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training and be responsible for the following: prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses, evaluation of athletic injuries, treatment of athletic injuries, providing education and counseling to student‑athletes about their injury/illness.
- Oversee the CPR/AED and First Aid education for all Athletic Staff.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the athletic training room.
- Travel with both male and female teams.
- Participate in inventory management of supplies.
- Document and maintain student‑athlete PHI (i.e. physicals, injury reports, rehabilitation, etc.) in the SportsWare Online system.
- Maintain appropriate communication with the Director of Athletic Training, student‑athletes, coaches, and physicians.
- Maintain appropriate communication and attend meetings within the Department of Athletics.
- Obtain, create and maintain an athletic calendar of events.
- Coordinate and maintain records for all athletic physical examinations for all student‑athletes.
- Complete required CEUs for NATA and Arizona Licensure.
- Remain in good standing with the NATA and Arizona Athletic Trainer’s Licensure.
- Develop, communicate and enforce Embry‑Riddle Athletic Training Policy & Procedures for athletes.
- Work more than the traditional 40 hours per week, which may include many weekends (including Sundays), nights and holidays.
- Possess a valid driver’s license for transportation of teams in vans and be able to travel for team practices and competitions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology/health education, sports medicine, or a related field preferred.
- BOC certification for Athletic Training.
- Arizona Athletic Training License.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
