Gettysburg College, located in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 10-month (with some summer commitments) administrative position reporting to the Director of Athletic Medicine and Sports Performance (Head Athletics Trainer). The assistant athletic trainer will assist the athletic training staff in providing a safe and healthy environment for our student-athletes to compete.
The successful candidate will assist in providing emergency care, initial treatment, follow-up care, rehabilitation, and a successful return to competition. It is expected that the assistant athletic trainer can perform all athletic training skills and be a proactive, contributing member of a highly respected athletic training team.
This position involves working various nights and weekends, occasional holidays, and travel. Gettysburg College sponsors 24 varsity sports, with over 500 student-athletes competing in Division III of the NCAA.
