Job summary

UC Santa Barbara seeks an Assistant Athletic Director – Events, Facilities and Projects to lead event management for 20 NCAA Division I programs. The role oversees facilities use, game-day operations, budgets, and cross-campus collaboration to align with department goals.

You will supervise staff, coordinate contracts and facilities scheduling while ensuring compliance with NCAA and university policies, reporting to the Associate AD.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate policy; work with diverse people and deadlines.
• Must comply with NCAA, conference and University rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• 70% Event & Programs Management – manage events for 20 NCAA Division I programs, coordinate budgets, vendors, and game-day operations; ensure adherence to policies and campus priorities.
• 30% Administrative Supervision – serve as department liaison, supervise student staff, manage contracts, space scheduling, and internal processes.
