Job description

Assistant/Associate Program Director

Join the leadership team of one of the nation's premier emergency medicine training programs. The Johns Hopkins Emergency Medicine Residency is seeking an innovative educator to serve as Assistant or Associate Program Director beginning July 1, 2027.

About the role

You’ll help lead a four-year, ACGME-accredited program (12 residents/year) with a five-decade track record of training EM leaders, working alongside the Program Director, two other APDs, a program manager, and a program coordinator. You’ll have dedicated administrative time (percent effort commensurate with role, up to 40% FTE) and join our Teaching College, a faculty group dedicated to educational scholarship and cross-departmental teaching initiatives.

Residents and faculty – more than 50 board-certified attendings – provide care across three Baltimore-area EDs: The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.
