Job summary

Harrisburg University of Science and Technology seeks a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Information Systems Engineering and Management with a focus on supply chain operations, manufacturing, and AI/ML, including LLMs and agentic AI. The appointment will involve teaching at the Master’s and Doctoral levels and sustaining a strong, externally visible research agenda.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Strong background in supply chain operations/logistics and/or additive/advanced manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML—incl. LLMs and agentic AI—to supply chain/manufacturing problems.
• Experience designing and teaching both foundational and advanced AI/ML courses at graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Teach at Master’s and PhD levels; develop and sustain a high-quality research agenda.
• Design and deliver engaging curricula integrating theoretical concepts with industry developments.
• Supervise and mentor graduate students and postdocs.
• Build collaborations with industry, government, and other institutions.
