Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Ability to engage in effective and respectful communication both written and oral. Ability to provide instruction in physics (at all levels including undergraduate and graduate) and lower division computational courses using evidence-based or research-based pedagogical instruction. Ability to create a sustainable research program of interest to the astrophysics community and funding agencies. Ability to effectively interact with colleagues and supervise student researchers. Computational experience in observational cosmology and time-domain astrophysics. |

Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function. | Normal duties of this faculty position include teaching, research, and service. More specifically, the duties will include: (1) teaching a range of physics courses at the undergraduate level, introductory astronomy, computer and computational science courses, and graduate level courses as appropriate; teach physics courses and possibly lower-division computational courses. Review the current astronomy course and develop astronomy and astrophysics courses appropriate for upper division physics majors and MS graduate students. |
