Job summary

North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University seeks a full-time, 9-month faculty member in the Criminal Justice Department to teach campus and/or online courses at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. This position reports to the Chairperson and will support the new graduate programs.

The candidate will teach a range of courses, advise students, serve on thesis/dissertation committees, and pursue external funding while collaborating with colleagues on curriculum and retention

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or other terminal degree in the discipline with at least four years teaching experience, and scholarly activity and service.
• Ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present research at conferences.
• Commitment to mentoring students and collaborating with colleagues.
• Expertise/preference in digital forensics, investigative science, cybercrime, or cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Teach approved curriculum across undergraduate and graduate levels, including potential graduate courses.
• Advise and mentor students; participate in thesis/dissertation committees.
• Maintain and report grades and attendance per university policies.
• Pursue external funding opportunities and contribute to curriculum development.
