The Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Neuroscience (MPN) in the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. Candidates are encouraged to apply who perform research that complements existing department focus areas such as neuropharmacology, gut microbiota-brain interactions, neurodevelopment, nanomedicine, drug delivery, neurodegeneration, neural repair, neuropsychiatric diseases, ocular pharmacology, neural control of cardiovascular function, and exosome biology.
The department is expanding, offering candidates the opportunity to help shape future research directions. Successful candidates will receive a strong start-up package, modern laboratory space, a competitive salary, and comprehensive health and retirement benefits. They are expected to develop an extramurally funded research program and contribute to graduate education.
Located on the LUC Health Sciences Campus in Maywood, Illinois, near Chicago, within the Center for Translational Research and Education (CTRE), which hosts over 70 faculty members engaged in active research.
