The Mississippi State University Meridian Campus is seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor for the Department of Healthcare Administration. This is a 9-month, tenure track faculty position.

Area of Specialization
Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate Healthcare Administration courses, in the areas of Managed Care, U.S. Healthcare Systems, Ethical Issues, Law and Regulation, Healthcare Policy, and Marketing. Eventually, graduate courses may be taught as the graduate program is developed.
  • May oversee student internships as required by the undergraduate programs.
  • Participate in the department's research agenda to include presentations at conferences and/or publications in Healthcare Administration related journals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary research and collaboration within the institution and with external partners.
  • Mentor students and contribute to their academic and professional development.
  • Provide service to the department, school, and university through committee work and other initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field. ABD status applicants will be considered if expected completion date is before appointment.
  • Capacity to successfully administer student internships in Healthcare Administration.
  • Established record of teaching and service at the university level for appointment at the appropriate rank.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across disciplines.
  • Rank and salary are commiserate with education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Established record of publishing impactful research applicable to Healthcare Administration for appointment at the appropriate rank.
  • Ability to teach Health Informatics, Data Science, Decision Science, or courses related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Healthcare Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with online instruction, development, and delivery.
