The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota is recruiting a full-time Clinician Scholar at the rank of Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track, with a strong interest in research. The position will be 0.25 clinical full-time equivalent (FTE), 0.75 research-focused FTE. The candidate is expected to apply for research grants, publish scientific papers, and establish collaborations to expand knowledge and skills.
Clinical practice will include outpatient clinics at the state-of-the-art M Health Clinics and Surgery Center, inpatient consult service at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, with the possibility of engagement in renal replacement therapy care at dialysis units in the Twin Cities. The Division comprises 14 general nephrologists and 4 transplant nephrologists, many of whom are renowned clinicians and researchers.

The salary begins at $55,000 and is dependent on academic effort. Clinical salary is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total compensation is competitive and aligned with AAMC benchmarks. Applicants should complete both the university and physician employment applications.
