Job Title: Professor of Pharmacology

Marian University, part of a diverse community committed to faith and inclusion, is seeking applications for a 12-month tenure-track position as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Pharmacology. The role supports our Catholic Franciscan mission by contributing to the education of medical students and Master of Biomedical Science students, emphasizing a curriculum that integrates basic and clinical sciences for practical patient care.

The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty to design and deliver pharmacology content within a comprehensive, system-based medical curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching students about human health, disease mechanisms, and potentially neuropharmacology, with opportunities to teach within your specific expertise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Model and promote the Franciscan Sponsorship Values through transformative education and leadership.
  2. Teach pharmacology primarily to medical students in the DO program.
  3. Collaborate on curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation.
  4. Prepare students for success in licensing exams and clinical rotations.
  5. Engage in scholarly activities involving students and dissemination of knowledge.
  6. Participate in service, mentorship, and professional community activities.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Possession of a DO, MD, PhD, or PharmD degree.
  2. Strong interest in teaching, with experience in professional or graduate education preferred.
  3. Background in neuropharmacology is a plus.
  4. Evidence of scholarly activity aligned with academic rank.
