The Role

As an Assistant Artist/Food Handler, you will support artistic instruction and culinary service. Your responsibilities include preparing for painting sessions, engaging with guests, and assisting with food and beverage service. The role is suitable for someone developing art instruction skills with a foundation in food service, flexible to fulfill either role as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare painting sessions using provided templates and notes from lead artists.
• Assist during painting sessions, guiding guests and managing time efficiently.
• Organize upcoming sessions by printing attendee lists, assigning seating, and preparing paint palettes.
• Greet guests, guide them to seats, and distribute aprons.
• Manage food and beverage service, including directing guests to the QR menu and attending to orders.
• When assigned as Food Handler, prepare food with attention to presentation and safety.
• Maintain kitchen safety standards and cleanliness.
• Engage with guests, support social media efforts, and assist with session cleanup.
• Collaborate flexibly with team members to ensure a positive experience.

Shift Requirements

• Part-time, 15-25 hours weekly.
• Availability for days, evenings, and weekends.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Artistic skills in acrylics, willingness to learn instruction.
• Experience in food presentation and safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Tech-savviness with kitchen and session technology.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if needed.

Experience and Education

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Interest or background in arts preferred.
• Experience in customer service, such as in restaurants or bars.
• Certifications like TIPS and ServSafe provided if necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly in a dynamic environment.
