Job summary

GFT is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Architecture, to join our State College, PA team. The role focuses on leading architectural design activities, coordinating with design teams, and guiding projects through development, client meetings, and proposals.

This role offers growth within a large, established organization in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have 5-8 years of public sector project experience, a professional architectural degree, and proficiency with Revit,

Qualifications

  • Professional architectural degree required.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience on public sector projects.
  • Proficiency with BIM software and design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Support managerial responsibility for all aspects of the project including scope development, contract negotiations, cost control, staff management, and quality control on multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and/or participate in design team activities to meet goals within time and funding parameters.
  • Forecasting, invoicing clients per contract requirements.
  • Coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Coordinate planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control of subcontractors and internal staff.

What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Architecture, to join our State College PA team.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following:

This role represents a unique opportunity for career development and growth through exciting projects and support from a large and proven organization. Day-to-day tasks may include project design production, participating in client meetings, proposal development, project/task management, and mentoring less experienced staff. Typical projects include new construction and architectural alterations and additions

Responsibilities:
  • Support of managerial responsibility for all aspects of the project including scope development, contract negotiations, cost control, staff management, and quality control on multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and/or participates in activities of the design team to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Forecasting, accruing, and invoicing clients in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff.
Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • A professional architectural degree is required
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 -8 years of experience in public sector projects.
  • Experience with software such as Revit Architecture, BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Effective writer, communicator, detail-oriented designer
  • Able to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects
  • In depth knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related standards
  • Organized individual with a positive team building spirit with a collaborative one team attitude.
Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
