Job summary

The NYS Office of General Services is seeking candidates for architectural roles involving design, documentation, and project management for state building projects. The position supports licensed staff and may include supervision of junior staff.

Candidates should have a strong architectural background with multiple credentialing options, and be prepared to work on institutional, commercial, and healthcare facilities across New York State.

Qualifications

• Six years of architectural design or drafting experience on multi-discipline projects.
• Experience under a registered architect or professional engineer.
• Experience on institutional, commercial, healthcare, academic, office, or residential buildings.
• Possession of a relevant architectural credential or license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with architectural design and project management for complex projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, estimates, and studies under licensed staff.
• Coordinate design drawings and construction costs with other disciplines.
• Assist in project scheduling and review of consultant work.
• Maintain project documentation including meetings and correspondence.
• Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to meet goals.
• Assist with construction administration and site observation activities.
• Supervise junior staff where assigned.
• Additional duties as assigned.
