Job summary

Watermelon Swim in Wesley Chapel, FL is hiring an Assistant Aquatics Manager to help lead daily operations, schedule staffing, and support instructor development. You will oversee year-round aquatics programs, ensure safety standards, and deliver exceptional member experiences.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organization, CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor certifications, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Travel between locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard, and WSI certifications are required.
• Aquatics experience required.
• Minimum 6 months of management or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of year-round aquatics programs.
• Assist with team scheduling, coverage, and shift management.
• Build and maintain class schedules to optimize pool space and staffing.
• Interview, onboard, and train new team members.
• Support instructor development through coaching and feedback.
• Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care.
• Assist with team training and water safety education programs.
• Maintain class organization (levels, awards, lane assignments, consistency).
• Track program activity and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Support communication between families, team members, and leadership.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months of management or leadership experience
• Aquatics experience required

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work 2 evenings and 1 weekend day weekly
