Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking an Assistant Agriculture Manager to support the Agriculture Manager by supervising all employees, ensuring raw product needs are met, and guiding maintenance projects. This role contributes to efficient planting and harvesting operations within our farming team.

You will maintain open lines of communication with staff, strive for cost-effective practices, and apply basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and SAP to track activities and inventory.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of field operations and equipment required.
• Two years of college preferred or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing raw product needs and planning.
• Help supervise planting and harvesting operations.
• Maintain open communication with all employees.
• Promote cost-effective performance and standards.
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping projects.

Our Assistant Agriculture Manager offers a team-oriented individual the opportunity to be responsible for assisting the Agriculture Manager with supervising all employees, all raw product needs, and maintenance projects.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in managing the company's raw product needs.
• Assist supervising planting and harvesting operations.
• Maintain an open line of communication with all employees.
• Require from all employees the best possible job performance.
• Cooperate with General Manager to minimize cost.
• Supervise all maintenance and housekeeping projects.
• Must have basic computer skills such as Word. Excel and SAP.
• Keep current of changes in the area of agriculture, including new seed varieties and growing and harvesting methods.

What You'll Bring:

• Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Pest License or be a Certified Crop Advisor.
• A minimum of two years of college preferred or equivalent experience.
• Should have overall knowledge of field operations and equipment.
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
