Job summary

University of Idaho invites applications for Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services in Moscow. You will lead the SASS program, oversee staff, and ensure compliance with NCAA and university rules while supporting student-athlete academic progress toward degree.

You will collaborate with coaches and campus partners, manage budgets, and drive assessment and reporting. This role requires strategic vision, strong communication, and the ability to work nonstandard hours.

Qualifications

  • Two years administering NCAA Division I rules and regulations associated with academic eligibility and certification.
  • Two years administering student-athlete academic support services.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Maintaining computerized student-athlete records.
  • Collaborating with student-athletes, coaches, campus partners and university administration.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate professional staff and graduate assistants.
  • Budget planning and management.
  • Annual report preparations.
  • Collaborate with ASP units and compliance to provide service to student-athletes.
  • Coordinate data collection for program assessment and evaluation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree in education, counseling, sport administration or related field; or 5+ years experience in student support services
