University of Idaho seeks an Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Support Services to provide comprehensive academic counseling and progress monitoring for student-athletes. Position Overview
This position provides academic services for all student-athletes through the Department of Athletics Student-Athlete Support Services ( SASS ) unit. The position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Support Services ( SASS ) . Duties include academic counseling and academic progress monitoring, assisting the Assistant AD for SASS in monitoring continuing eligibility, enrollment assistance and monitoring, summer bridge, meeting with prospective student-athletes on recruiting visits, mentoring student-athletes who present academic risk factors, supervising the SASS graduate assistant, serving as the Admissions Liaison, and coordinating the student-athlete mentor program. The incumbent maintains close liaison with UI athletic administrators, coaching staffs, faculty, and campus academic support areas and serves as a member of the administrative staff.
