Roses PR is looking for a scrappy, creative and positive Assistant Account Executive to join the team! This is a fully remote, full-time contract position for someone who is excited to learn more about startups and has at least 2-3 previous PR internships under their belt (preferably in tech PR).

This position = you building on the foundations of PR: writing pitches and media messaging materials, building strategic media lists, sharpening your industry research skills, interacting directly with really cool clients (founders + c-suite execs), getting some killer coverage... and HAVING FUN! Seriously – you'll find high energy, a lotta laughs and a ton of flexibility over here :)

You will:

- Draft press materials (pitches, press releases, briefing documents, talking points, etc.)

- Research and build media lists tailored to client needs

- Collaborate directly with our clients (founders and c-suite execs)

- Support pitching efforts to secure coverage across print, digital, broadcast and podcasts

- Monitor news, market data and industry trends relevant to our client sectors

- Track, compile, and analyze press coverage for reporting purposes

- Help manage client call agendas, notes, and deliverables

- Build relationships with journalists and media outlets

- Coordinate interviews, speaking opportunities, and media events

- Suggest new, creative ways to improve processes and drive efficiency of our small team

-Contribute to the development of engaging social content for the Roses PR IG

You have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or a related field

- 2-3 internships or experience in a full-time role in PR (preferably in tech, but not required)

- Experience working with the media and managing press relationships

- A love for networking — you’re the friend that builds relationships everywhere you go ;)

- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in external communications

- Excellent writing and editing skills with a knack for simplifying complex topics

- Strong attention to detail and an editorial eye for written copy

- Excellent organization and time management skills

- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

- A positive, proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

- Experience with Muck Rack, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom is a plus

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000– base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

- Fully remote role

- 15 days PTO in addition to paid office holidays and Summer Fridays

- $200/monthly allowance for media networking
