We are currently looking for an Assistant Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits team.
General Purpose
Support EB Account Executives in coordinating projects and interfacing with clients and carriers to ensure exceptional customer service.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist Account Executive staff with daily client management issues.
- Perform account maintenance including updates to client files, scanning and attachment of plan documents, Benefit Point, etc.
- Assist in the resolution of common account issues, such as claims, policies, eligibility, and service issues.
- Request, track, and upload Schedule A’s for client 5500 filings.
- Prepare Annual Notice packets for clients.
- Gather and sort benefit and census data for marketing, stewardship, persona, smart view reports.
- Assist with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparation.
- Revise, edit, and bind presentation materials as needed.
- Prepare open enrollment materials (C&D benefit guides, benefit spot mobile app, presentation, carrier collaterals).
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients.
- Maintain Benefit Portals such as TouchCare, Employee Navigator, etc.
- Assist Clients and Account Executives utilizing MyWave.
- Perform other administrative functions as needed.
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an Employee Benefits insurance environment (preferred, not required).
- Obtain your Life & Health License after a set period of employment.
- 4-year college degree a plus.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- Accurate with high attention to detail.
- Able to work independently with a sense of urgency and in a team environment.
Additional Considerations
While performing duties, employees may need to stand for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 5 pounds, and assist in conference room setup.
Scope and Environment
- Supports various levels of Account Executive teams and manages low complexity account issues.
- May interface with clients and carriers after obtaining a Life & Health license.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Negligible travel required.
