Job summary

TelevisaUnivision in Miami seeks an Assignment Editor/Producer to source content and manage logistics for live crews. You will develop and push daily story ideas, assign crews, and coordinate interviews and coverage decisions for special news programs.

You will work closely with producers and field teams, capture field video feeds, and help editors shape story packages that align with station policies. Fluency in Spanish is required and US work authorization is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Assignment Desk.
• Fluent in Spanish (read and write).
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Research and produce daily story ideas for air.
• Assign and provide necessary information to crews.
• Monitor for breaking news and coordinate coverage.
• Coordinate interviews and plan future coverage and prioritized events.
• Maintain communication with producers and field crews.
• Capture video feeds and assist editors with troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with reporters to plan story packages compliant with station policies.
• Work with other editors to assign stories and monitor coverage.
