Job summary

NBCUniversal's Noticias Telemundo AHORA seeks an experienced Assignment Editor to lead daily coverage for our streaming channel.

You will coordinate reporters, monitor wires and social media, develop story ideas, and ensure accuracy and balance under tight deadlines. This project-based role requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities, flexibility for early hours, weekends, and holidays, and strong editorial judgment. Experience creating digital video content is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a newsroom.
• Proficient in all social media platforms.
• Experience creating digital video content in a newsroom is helpful.
• Strong editorial knowledge.
• Proven solid writing skills and editorial judgment.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).
• Available for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
