Goldman Sachs is seeking a VP-level Platform Management professional in Dallas to optimize investor performance and experience within the Alternatives Platform. You will partner with investment teams, capital markets, engineering and investor relations to drive day-to-day portfolio decisions and capital activity across funds and managed accounts.

Platform Management Overview

The Alternatives Portfolio Management Group is dedicated to optimizing investor performance and experience. The Platform Management team, within the Portfolio Management group, is focused on driving day-to-day portfolio decision-making. The Platform Management team partners with investment teams, capital markets, engineering and investor relations to achieve superior outcomes for AWM’s clients. Platform Management consists of two roles:

• Fund Management: responsible for developing and executing liquidity strategies across private market portfolios, managing capital activity, analyzing deal allocations, recommending optimal deployment of investable capital in line with fund and firm guidelines, and conducting performance attribution analysis.
• Deal & Structuring Management: responsible for the ownership and maintenance of complex fund structures, including cash movement, deal allocations, foreign currency management, deal execution, and pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Own daily liquidity management and develop forecasts to evaluate current and projected funding needs. Formulate liquidity recommendations and lead collaboration with stakeholders to execute capital activity and leverage facility actions.
• Lead attribution analysis to break down historical portfolio returns and identify actionable improvements in performance and risk management.
• Oversee investment guidelines and concentration limits, direct investment pacing decisions, and drive investable capital strategy across actively investing funds and separately managed accounts.
• Lead engagement with cross-functional teams to advise on fundraising and fund structure creation.
• Define, track, report, and analyze detailed performance metrics.

Platform Management: Deal & Structuring Management

• Manageportfolio allocations, deal execution, deal closing, and harvesting activities. Lead coordination with internal groups and external advisors to resolve legal, compliance, tax, accounting and operational matters.
• Own fund and investment rebalancing strategy across new fund launch closes.
• Direct the fund management team on capital calls, cash distributions, and investor and regulatory reporting on fund performance.
• Manage and prioritize ad hoc requests from senior management, including data management, reporting and presentations.

Shared Responsibilities

• Lead in responding to compliance and regulatory inquiries.
• Develop management presentations and oversee analyses in support of ad hoc requests.
• Drive technology initiatives related to the above responsibilities.
