Job summary

Lonza is seeking an Asset Team Lead in Bend, Oregon, onsite, to drive operational excellence across a manufacturing asset. You will partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to ensure safe, reliable production and readiness for new products and campaigns.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coach staff, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance while maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fully site-based setting.

• Experience in process development, manufacturing operations, or a related regulated environment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Knowledge of manufacturing performance improvement and operational excellence practices.
• Understanding of quality, compliance, and safety requirements within a production environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience with resource planning, budgeting, or performance management activities.
• Commitment to developing others and fostering a collaborative team culture.

• Lead asset performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability and operational performance.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to achieve shared goals.
• Ensure readiness for new products, process improvements, and manufacturing campaigns.
• Support investigations, issue resolution, and compliance activities to maintain quality standards.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members within a matrix environment.
• Communicate priorities, performance trends, and improvement opportunities to key stakeholders.

As an Asset Team Lead, you will play a key role in delivering operational excellence across a manufacturing asset or production line. You will work closely with teams across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing Science to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production while helping bring life-changing therapies to patients around the world.

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.
