Job summary

Georgia Power, a leading electric subsidiary of Southern Company, is seeking a Distribution Support Specialist in Atlanta, GA. The role supports asset management, GIS, and distribution system modeling, using MAXIMO, CYME, and related tools to keep grid data accurate and operations smooth.

You will diagnose issues, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, deliver end-user training, and drive system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues across multiple applications.
• Experience in technical support/analyst roles with enterprise-level applications.
• Excellent communication to translate technical information for non-technical users.
• Experience developing training materials or end-user documentation.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for MAXIMO, GIS, CYME, and other operational applications, ensuring seamless availability.
• Analyze application performance metrics, data integrity, and user feedback to identify and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system enhancements, new releases, and integration projects.
• Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to improve end-user proficiency with asset management and mapping tools.
• Act as a subject matter expert for multiple distribution technology platforms, offering guidance and support to end-users and leadership.
• Stay current with new technology and updates in relevant systems, ensuring the team is informed and trained accordingly.
