The role involves supporting day-to-day operations of software-based inventory processes and interfacing with internal teams to ensure policy adherence and efficient asset utilization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial rental and services experience preferred.
  • Experience tracking company owned assets.
  • Experience interacting with internal and external customers to understand needs and deliver timely solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of company owned assets using Quantify and related systems.
  • Serve as the primary resource for asset tracking software and user support.
  • Provide centralized administrative support to yards and customer sites.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on data from annual inventories and cycle counts.
  • Maintain asset inventory through system-based reconciliation processes.
  • Develop training materials for inventory systems and educate new users.
  • Report to leadership on compliance gaps in inventory policies.

Position Title: Asset Specialist

Position Reports To: Director , Asset Management

Position Summary

The Asset Specialist is to support the execution of A sset M anagement p rocedures as they pertain to accounting, training, and compliance across all regions of the organization. Aid in the design and implementation of system-based best practices set forth by Asset Management for the purposes of tracking company owned assets. Process, reconcile, and report on captured inventory data so the organization may effectively and efficiently make informed decisions regarding Asset Management. Specialist will also support day-to-day operations as it relates to the utilization and maintenance of software-based inventory processes.

Essential Functions
  • Employ software programs, including but not limited to Quantify, to maintain an accurate inventory of company owned assets .
  • Function as the foremost authority on software programs utilized for tracking company owned assets .
  • Be primary point of contact for systems related questions, delivering technical support for system users.
  • Develop relationships with system users across the organization to maximize compliance with Asset Management policies and procedures.
  • Provide centralized administrative support to yards and customer sites that are unequipped to manage Quantify and other company asset tracking programs.
  • Support team by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data obtained during annual inventory and periodic cycle counts .
  • Maintain asset inventory through system-based reconciliation processes.
  • Develop software-based training and materials for inventorying systems.
  • Educate and train new system users as to the policies and procedures maintained by Asset Management.
  • Report to leadership, when necessary, lack of compliance regarding system-based inventorying policies.
Education & Experience
  • 5 + years of industrial rental and services experience preferred.
  • Experience tracking company owned assets .
  • Experience interacting with internal and external customers to understand needs and deliver timely solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Promotes safety throughout every aspect of the role.
  • Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite plus a demonstrated understanding of Avontus Quantify , Fieldwire , and Tenna .
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively on cross-functional team initiatives.
  • Ability to multi-task to manage multiple, overlapping, competing priorities.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to twenty pounds.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Some travel required.
