Citigroup Inc. in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking an Asset Serv Intmd Assoc Analyst to advance in-depth knowledge of financial operations within asset servicing. The role blends analytical work with teamwork and client service to support core settlements and payments processes.

You will reconcile corporate actions, interpret event data, and collaborate with the Middle Office to ensure accurate custody services while maintaining compliance with audit and control standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret domestic Voluntary Corporate Action data to address client inquiries.
• Partner with internal teams across the business, including Middle Office, to service Custody clients.
• Perform multiple transactions of moderate complexity to achieve efficiency and productivity.
• Minimize risk by applying procedural requirements and adhering to audit policies.
• Design business documents to reduce manual touch points in payments processing.
• Participate in system testing and stay aware of product changes.
• Provide back-up coverage during high volume periods and additional duties as assigned.

The Asset Serv Intmd Assoc Analyst is a developing professional role which integrates in-depth specialty knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices; demonstrates good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:

• This will be an individual contributor role reconciling, processing elections and payments related to Corporate Action events
• Interpret domestic Voluntary Corporate Action and event information, and use that data to address client inquiries and ad-hoc requests
• Partner with internal teams across the business, including Middle office, to effectively service Custody clients
• Performs multiple transactions of moderate complexity to achieve operating efficiency and a high level of productivity
• Minimizes risk to the bank through the appropriate application of procedural requirements and adherence to audit and control policies
• Continuously looks for and designs business required documents to reduce the number of manual touch points to process payments
• Participates in system testing
• Maintains awareness of product changes and system enhancements
• Assists team member during periods of high volume corporate action processing and payments, provides back-up coverage, and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years relevant experience
• Related industry experience
• Operational knowledge within Finance industry
• Experience in other financial products outside of asset service will be advantageous
• Proven experience working within a team environment a must
• Excel, Word, Outlook, Access
• Analytical and numerate, ability to research and resolve complex issues
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good lateral thinking & common sense

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
