Job summary

Holmes Motors is seeking an experienced Auto Asset Recovery Manager to lead recovery operations across our dealership locations in Mississippi. You will oversee voluntary surrender and repossession processes, coordinate vendors, and ensure compliant, efficient asset recovery from initiation to disposition.

The role requires strong leadership, decision‑making under pressure, and a track record of reducing losses while protecting customer relationships. Relocation not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automotive finance, collections, repossession, asset recovery, or related operations
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of repossession procedures, documentation, compliance, and recovery operations
• Proven leadership and team development skills

Responsibilities

• Direct voluntary surrender and involuntary repossession operations Lead, schedule and coach repossession personnel
• Coordinate and monitor outside recovery vendors
• Manage recovery assignments from initiation through completion
• Ensure recovered vehicles are secured, photographed, inventoried and documented
• Oversee movement of recovered vehicles through multiple departments (Collections, Service, Body Shop, Reconditioning, Insurance, Sales, Wholesale, Legal)
• Monitor recovery timelines, costs, aging inventory, vendor performance, and productivity
• Ensure repossession activities and documentation comply with company policies and legal requirements
• Manage customer escalations involving repossessions, redemptions, and related concerns
• Partner with leadership to identify risks, improve processes, reduce losses, and strengthen recovery performance
• Maintain oversight of repossession vehicles including DOT, ELD, GPS, and maintenance requirements
