PartsSource is seeking an Asset Recovery and Disassembly Technician to disassemble medical imaging equipment, inspect components, and prep parts for resale or reuse. The role emphasizes safe handling, accurate documentation, and strict adherence to SOPs and quality standards.

You will collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams, maintain traceability, and support continuous improvement efforts while upholding health and safety policies.

Qualifications

Mechanically inclined and detail oriented, with strong inspection skills.
Ability to follow SOPs, BOMs, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience handling inventory in a warehouse/repair context.

Responsibilities

Disassemble medical imaging equipment safely, including X-ray, Mammography, CT systems.
Inspect recovered parts to determine condition, functionality and reuse potential.
Prepare and stage components for testing, washing, inventory, or shipment.
Document assets and maintain records in ERP/inventory systems; support cycle counts.
Follow safety policies and environmental requirements; use PPE as required.

Asset Recovery and Disassembly Technician

Position Summary

The Asset Recovery and Disassembly Technicianis responsible forthe systematic recovery, disassembly, inspection, and processing of medical imaging equipment and associated components. This role supports the organization’s asset recovery and parts reuse initiatives byidentifyingvaluable components, preparing parts for resale,maintainingaccurateinventory records, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The successful candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to operational excellence.

What you will do

Asset Recovery & Disassembly

Perform the safe and efficient disassembly of medical imaging equipment, including X-ray, Mammography, CT, and other diagnostic systems.
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, and technical documentation during all disassembly activities.
Recover components and materials suitable for reuse or resale.
Utilize hand tools and material handling equipment safely and effectively.

ComponentInspection & Evaluation

Inspect recovered parts and assemblies todeterminecondition, functionality, and suitability for future use.
Identifywear, damage, defects, or missing components and document findings accurately.
Support quality initiatives by ensuring recovered assets meet established standards.

Part Preparation & Processing

Clean, sort, label, and stage components for testing, washing, inventory, or shipment.
Ensure proper handling and storage of recovered materials to prevent damage andmaintaintraceability.

Documentation & Inventory Control

Accurately document all recovered assets, parts, and materials removed during disassembly activities.
Enter andmaintainrecords within inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
Assistwith inventory transactions, cycle counts, and material tracking activities.

Safety & Compliance

Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.
Properly userequired personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, and equipment.
Report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and processconcernsimmediately.
Maintain compliance with all quality, operational, and regulatory requirements.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with technicians, inventory specialists, warehouse personnel, and management to ensure operational goals are achieved.
Participate in problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate effectivelyregardingwork status, inventory discrepancies, and process improvements.
