Ensures a safe and secure environment for customers, team members, and vendors. Responsible for investigating internal and external theft, including ORC (Organized Retail Crime) activity. Seeks best practices and continuous improvement in all aspects of Asset Protection and safety by focusing on proactive and preventive activities that enhance profitability.

Responsibilities include:

• Visually inspecting building exterior and parking lot to mitigate potential hazards.
• Conducting walking inspections of the backroom and sales floor.
• Reviewing cashier exception reports.
• Conducting internal theft surveillance.
• Reviewing theft activity reports and following up as necessary.
• Conducting shoplifting surveillance.
• Reporting safety hazards to Store Leadership for resolution.
• Testing and inspecting camera equipment for proper operation.
• Reviewing alarm system activity for suspicious behavior.
• Participating in apprehension of law violators and assisting in prosecution of external theft cases.
• Documenting incidents thoroughly and writing detailed reports, including pertinent facts for potential litigation.
• Testifying in criminal or civil court proceedings.
• Adhering to all safety practices, principles, guidelines, and policies.
• Practicing 200% safety accountability.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.
